The majority of eye conditions can be dealt with at primary health care level – in the communities where people live and work. However, eye care is often missing or not integrated at this level of health care.

To celebrate our latest issue, ‘Primary Eye Health Care’, this 1-hour webinar (12:00-13:00 BST [GMT+1]) on 13th June 2022 will provide an opportunity for readers of the Community Eye Health Journal to hear from key authors from the latest issue ‘Primary Eye Health Care’ and ask questions related to their practice. The majority of the session will be dedicated to questions and discussions, so please bring any thoughts/questions/discussion points with you.

Speakers include Professor Clare Gilbert, Dr Ada Aghaji and Dr Daksha Patel.

Key articles that will be discussed:

What is primary eye health care?
Why is primary eye health care needed?
Delivering eye health promotion – why and how
The role of the secondary level eye care teams in engaging with and supporting primary eye care

Each speaker will give a short overview of their article followed by a question-and-answer session, so we encourage you to read the articles ahead of time and come prepared with questions.
