Global Vision Database

The Global Vision Database is a comprehensive database of population-based prevalence eye surveys, dating from 1980 to 2014, from published and unpublished sources.

The database is now available as a map on the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) website. Various aspects of blindness and visual impairment are available to view:

  • Prevalence
  • By sex
  • By country and region
  • ‘Time-lapse’ from 1995-2010

The database is created and maintained by the Vision Loss Expert Group.

View the map now on the IAPB website.
