Childhood cataracts have become a leading cause of preventable childhood blindness in many developing countries. This international symposium, organised by the Emery University School of Medicine, aims to discuss ways of improving the management and visual outcomes of children with congenital cataracts.

Students, physicians-in-training and public health professionals interested in addressing the issue of untreated pediatric cataracts in the developing world are encouraged to attend.
