ICO fellowships available worth US$33,000

Young ophthalmologists working in low- and middle-income countries can apply now for International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO)/Retina Research Foundation Helmerich Fellowships. These fellowships provide support for one year of training in any ophthalmology subspecialty to young ophthalmologists who are committed to enhancing ophthalmic education and improving patient care in their home countries.

Award: US$33,000 for one year to cover round trip travel, living expenses, and professional expenses.

Application deadline: September 30, with applicants notified by November 30.

Two 12-month fellowships are awarded each year to commence within 15 months after award notification. Open for training in any ophthalmology subspecialty.
